Vol. 63 No. 2 (2026): REHABILITATION
In the previous editorial, we discussed responsibility for one’s own health. Today, we will continue our reflections with the ideas “Fight for your life”, “Do it yourself”, and “Do something for your health”. I consider this statement to be one of the fundamental philosophies of health.
This correct attitude should be rooted in each of us and shaped from early childhood through proper upbringing, leading towards self education also in the field of health and health care. Another area of the philosophy of health is the search for the deeper causes of the misery of contemporary prosperity, including lifestyle diseases, the so called “plagues of civilisation”, and the mental and physical self poisoning of the human being.
New thinking should focus on the support, strengthening, and building of health, on “how to be healthy”, on disease prevention, on “how to avoid illness”, and above all on not waiting for the moment when disease knocks on our door, or even breaks it down, because we ourselves have “cultivated the disease” and allowed it to grow, spread, and take root in both our body and our soul.
