The first issue of the Journal Rehabilitácia in 2025 provides an in-depth overview of key topics in rehabilitation and neurology, highlighting the latest advancements, clinical findings, and innovative therapeutic approaches that are shaping modern rehabilitation sciences. This edition addresses several critical issues, including the impact of chronic low back pain on functional limitations, emphasizing gender differences and the need for personalized rehabilitation strategies. Additionally, it offers a comprehensive review of idiopathic scoliosis as a multifactorial condition, examining biomechanical, neurological, and sensory dysfunctions while underscoring the importance of rehabilitation in stabilizing posture and slowing disease progression. A significant feature of this issue is the validation of the β scale for assessing the self-sufficiency of patients with neurological diseases, which introduces new possibilities for clinical application and improved patient care. The journal also explores the importance of home modifications for older adults, analyzing the role of occupational therapy in ensuring a safe living environment and preventing falls, with a focus on best practices in home adaptation. By integrating expert analyses with practical applications, this issue serves as a valuable resource for clinicians, researchers, and students, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and contributing to the advancement of patient-centered rehabilitation and neurological care.
