About the Journal

The journal REHABILITÁCIA is a scientific, cutting-edge, peer-reviewed and indexed journal for issues of medical, work, psychosocial and educational rehabilitation. However, the topics are also education in the field of rehabilitation and scientific research topics of modern methods and materials used in all areas of rehabilitation medicine. Journal is published by the Publishing House LIEČREH s.r.o. under the professional guarantee of the Rehabilitation of Prof. Gúth. The team of editors consists of experts and scientists from Comenius University, Slovak Medical University, University Hospital Bratislava and also from foreign experts (Germany, Austria, UK).

The journal REHABILITÁCIA is intended for the scientific and professional rehabilitation public. The journal REHABILITÁCIA is sent in printed form by post and in digital form by email only to those subscribers who have subscribed. The books of the LIEČREH publishing house dealing with the topic of rehabilitation and rehabilitation medicine can be viewed and ordered (see the section: Books ).

Received manuscripts undergo a peer-review process, after which they can be returned to the author (see the section: Publishing ethics – Ethics Statement). Slovak articles are linguistically corrected. We do not return unsolicited manuscripts. The author is responsible for the content of the contributions. typesetting, proofreading, language adjustment and technical cooperation with Summerhouse s.r.o. We perceive the human being as a whole, as a unity of body, soul, and spirit. The individual existence of a person can be understood in broader contexts, with the recognition that today we find ourselves in an era in which we realise that traditional thinking in almost all areas of society is outdated, that is, obsolete. There is a risk that the history of humankind to date may slip into the path of humanity’s prehistory, so that human beings themselves may make room for new, health promoting thinking and for a new epoch. At present, we are witnessing the overcoming of materialist thinking, which formed the core of the inhumane ideologies of the past. Increasingly, we are also witnessing a revolt against the often dogmatic and authoritarian modes of thought in society, which have at times shown contempt for humanity. We are observing growing criticism of the causal and mechanistic image of the human being, as presented by various ideological directions, schools, currents, and similar approaches, which understand the human being only as a sum of individual organs and physico chemical processes, and which speak of the “material of sick people”, a “set of patients”, and the “discarding or removal of organs”...
